Did Mike Rossi (viral marathon dad) cheat his way into Boston?

was looking through the posts and noticed Paul LeBelle could not find any pictures of himself in the Go St. Louis half, I looked and maybe I missed it but I did not see his name in the results for the last 3 years... I have never had a problem getting photos at any event I have run, I guess I am just too photogenic...

Maybe his days of posting on social media are done - but if he gets DQ'd from LV and Boston social media will crush him. Most people still don't think he cheated and are supporting him because there is "no evidence that he didn't run the qualifier". Its a nice ruse to hide behind - the 'ol you must provide proof that I didn't do something. But the photo analysis certainly does prove that he didn't do it. So - once he gets DQd all his supporters will have to face the reality that the man they supported lied and cheated. People do not like to have to face the fact that they've supported a liar and there will be a sh*t storm on social media about this.

He's a tool. I searched for a Go St. Louis result for him, and their isn't one. The most I can find for a Paul LaBelle is a few 30:00+ 5k results and a post on a local tri club Facebook page about his bum hamstring.

Mike Rossi is a running machine. He puts in 15 MPW and overcame tons of hardships to get to Boston. Evidently he is so fast that not even cameras can capture his image.

We should leave this guy alone. He's obviously misguided but did nothing wrong by supporting Mike.

As a general response to that comment, though... If someone is an extreme back of the pack type of runner, I would imagine the race photographers pack up at a certain point where it is no longer profitable for them to continue working since there are so few runners coming through at that point in the race. I'm not saying that would apply in his particular case but certainly this exception would not apply for a 3:11 marathoner.

Actually, I do this. Banditing goes against my personal ethical code and I sometimes enter races and treat them as training runs for longer distances. Expensive, yes. Does it happen? Yes. Is it rare? Yes.

You can see that guy (look for the bright yellow shoes, grey shirt, and thick black watch) wearing a blue bib.

So if that is him and he did cheat that way, he wore a different bib (for the half) during that part of the race.

Qualified with 15mpw? Really? Maybe this deserves Dad of the Year as the dad qualified spending hardly any time on his running hobby. Did he really only do 15mpw to qualify?

I grew up to respect principal's and teachers. Writing a sarcastic letter and posting it online doesn't seem like role model father behaviour. I wonder why the media gave it "Dad of the Year" billing. I don't get it! What's wrong with the media!?

This f*ing thread is awesome. This is 1000x more entertaining than the mayweather-pacquiao fight and people were getting bilked 100 bills to watch that.

Anybody taking odds on when the DQ comes down? Does it happen this week?
