Just rewatched several times on the ESPN feed. I was sure Langon was the guilty party but the officials made the right call in the end. Marco had lane 2 and Samuel fought with him and then moved out and impeded him. Well done.

what are you supposed to do if someone runs into you from the outside?
I just rewatched the 3000m and Marco shoulder checked Habtom which caused him to make a little contact with Collin. But Habtom fought with Marco for his space that he deserved and then destroyed them. Marco should be dq and Habtom should be the champ.

No. You cannot see right. Marco ran into Habtom. Marco should be Dqd and Habtom should be the champ.
This. If he cant see them, they just need a spotter to read the bibs of the athletes. This isn't that hard.
Or just literally say the school name which he does for all the other events.
He used to be a decent commentator but this unholy duo of him and Jill Montgomery needs to end. He also steps all over anyone else on the broadcast. Dan O'Brien comes prepared with concise commentary, can read names, knows who's running, and Dwight can't help himself and interrupts him too.
You’ve received half of your wish. The female half of the “unholy duo” this weekend was Larra Overton, not Jill Montgomery.
Letsrun has interviews with Colin abd Samuel up in youtube BEFORE the DQ was announced. Colin is disappointed but classy. Wish they had recorded the moment when he found out he win

There is a recording of it on the NAU Instagram page
Unbelievable that Samuel thought he could get away with something like that. He had lost position, this was a race between Marco and Colin after they were leaving Samuel behind. He could stand it watching them go so he pushed one and tripped the other. Pathetic attempt and dirty tactics. I used to root for him, not no more.

Langn looked like he tried to cut him off. Just like he did at BU. Samuel responded
All of those saying Marco ran into Habtom are watching on the curve, not the back stretch.
Habtom definately sticks his arm out to block Marco as Marco is passing him on the backstretch. Marco then reacts to hold position and habtom gets nudged into sahlman. Officials got it right, Habtom initiated the contact when he saw Marco was going to get past him or potentially box him in.
I originally thought it was probably Marcos fault but just watched video slowed down. Habt made first contact. DQ was correct. He shouldn’t have tried to put his arm out to impede Marco.
For all of the posters on this forum, great to see the interaction on a truly great meet. But for all us Razorbacks, kudos to Doug Case and his team. I’m sure Chris Bucknam a had a huge hand in getting this group together and thanks for all of your efforts over the years. I’m an old school McDonnell alum. So I am biased. The key to getting all of these Arkansas athletes to perform above their ranking on 2 days is another matter. I truly hope that Doug Case has that tenacity and gift. I realize there will only be one John McDonnell, but those of us who understand, understand.

Been there for the Hogs since early 80s. I get it. I have connections with family, building namesake, many athletes and coaches. I can guarantee that if they say their expectations are to contend and win a title every season, it's fact and the, believe it. The bloodline is long. You can't deny the truth of why a track athlete would go there. They see themselves being a part of a long history of winning. My first hero was Roddie Haley (rest his soul). Oregon had it as well. It's just a very different flavor but its incredible to see a program sustain a winning tradition such as these. Always in the hunt. Oregon men will add the WR holder in the discus to their outdoor lineup. On addition to the javelin, hammer, 400H, 4 x 1 added to the meet schedule, Arkansas might come back to the field a bit in June.
Watch the rise of Kansas St. Look what they have done in 2 seasons. IF you are a Razorback fan, you know why.
The announcers did not stress how big of an upset that was for the men's 800m. What happened to Roban? He's a 1:42 guy and that is by far the worst race he's run this season.
Did the 600/800 double kill everybody’s legs from the Big 10? Matthew Erickson and Niko Schultz missed the final as well. Clay did the double and finished well though.
