Paced so well. Nearly last at 400. In a 2nd pack for a long time! 3rd from last as they are 2 minutes in. And then all passing all the way. Lots of great running. Centro risked it--right thing to do this point in the season. Likely will hold the pace later in the season. Souleiman strong as usual, a powerful 1500/miler at this point. A good mile when 3:55 is a distant 12th.

A PB and NR by 2.9 secs. He is born in '91, so you'd expect him to go 3:45 in 3-4 years:)
His 800m pb is only 1:48.xx and so he is relatively slow (he does contest the distance regularly though). He was waaaay
behind the first two laps,but ran strategically superbly.

Interesting point - even aficianodos to the sport often forget the 1500/mile conversion. True that with that time, he doesn't really need a welcome to the sub 3:50 club!
That being said, his PR was two years ago, and after several disappointing events (see London, e.g.) it is nice to know he is in great shape. Will be interesting to see how his upcoming 5000m goes.

I've seen Ingebrigsten train. If you see him running you wouldn't believe he is a 3:50 miler - he doesn't have the best running form. But no doubt a great athlete.
