Anna Pierce and Morgan Uceny are competing against each other this weekend in the 1000m at the Boston Indoor Games. Who do you think will be faster? The steeple-1500m runner or 800m runner?

Indeed. I hope these underclassmen can continue to produce those kind of results as they get older. I hope this allows the Ivy League to be more competitive on the National scale.

The NCAA qualifiers so far (that I have found, feel free to add on if I miss any)

HJ - Monique Roberts (1.82m), Columbia, sophomore

PV - Tory Worthen (4.00m), Princeton, freshman

400m - Austin Holloman (47.03), Princeton, sophomore

3K - Ashley Higginson (9:24.91), Princeton, junior

5K - Reiley Kiernan (16:19.14), Princeton, junior

60HH - Ashtynn Baltimore (8.43), Harvard, freshman

I bet we will get a few more qualifiers next weekend and at HEPS, since each team will be out in full force by then.

Harvard-Yale-Princeton this weekend at Princeton.

Princeton has looked really, really good in almost every event. Can Harvard and Yale break through, or are they just looking for scraps?

Yale can get points with Ray (if healthy) Bieszard and Evans in the long sprints. Labosky can win at 800 or 1000, and Perrella had nice debut at 3000.

Harvard has Dingus in the long sprints, and Hill has the top HEPS time in the 800. Wilson might be able to break up the Princeton guys in the mile. Chenowith hasn't run yet - he'd run twice by this point last year. Is he sitting out indoor?

Is there anyone else who can break up the Tigers? Maybe their coach, by sending some of their fast guys elsewhere to chase a time.

And Princeton looks even more dominant among the girls.

I think that Princeton will dominate the men's side. To me, the question is who gets 2nd place: Harvard or Yale.

As for the women, I think it would be tough battle between Harvard and Princeton for the win. Princeton women have better sprinters and long-distance runners right now, but Harvard I believe has stronger field and mid-distance. It could come down to the relays.

Cornell has someone ranked top 6 in every event except the 200m and 5000m. They'll run up points in the field events where they have a ton of depth, where as Princeton's relying on a lot of mid distance and distance points from freshman and sophomores, where the league is much deeper and it's easy to have an off day. I'd give Cornell the nod for the victory, though Princeton looks like they could compete for the DMR win at nationals in a year or two (3:47 freshman last year, 2 1:51 freshman this year) which I find more impressive. I think for a long time Princeton and Cornell will be 1 and 2 in some order.

This is true for HEPS, but not necessary for this weekend, as Cornell isn't going against Princeton this weekend.

I think a similar argument can be said for the women's side as well.

That's the speculation right now, although someone has stated that she hasn't been at practices or meets the last few weeks.

I don't know what performance list you're looking at but as far as the field events go:

Event PU/CU

HJ 1,2/3,4=(4x)

PV 1,2/3,4=(2x)

LJ 2,3,6/1,4

TJ 4/1,2

SP 1,4,6/5

WJ 1,7/4,5

Looks like they'll both get a ton of points from the field!

By the way the men don't run the 200 at Heps.
