About little over 6 weeks ago, I started noticing foot pain, immediately following an indoor track meet. The foot pain was first noticeable during a long run the day after my race. I suspected the pain to be extensor tendonitis, however it would not go away and was tender to touch, so I got imaging which determined that I had a low-grade stress fracture in my cuneiform. I found out about the stress fracture about 2 weeks after the initial pain and I went on crutches. I was on crutches for a little over a week, and the only form of exercise I was doing was swimming. I stopped noticing any pain in that area during that week while I was on crutches and went 3 weeks without feeling any pain. I was able to get through about 2 weeks of running pain free up until I tried to do a fartlek workout. During my workout the pain gradually got worse and I have had that pain now consistently for the past 6 days since.
I was wondering if anyone has had similar experiences or can offer me any advice!
