I thought this was common knowledge? A person who used to be very active. When they return after a long break. They progress much more quickly, compared to someone with no activite background.
And if you had excellent conditioning you will come back stronger than you could ever before.

Building a champion needs to begin early. Find a talented kid, dope them to the gills with cheaper old school PEDs while they are competing in high school/age group competition where no testing is carried out. Continue doping into college where the testing is scant and easily worked around.
