Making a run at the Kobe Klanker all time world record of missed shots and selfishness.
how many 60 point games in history were done on below average shooting nights?
17-38 FG, 5-20 from 3
Look at his game log, he's routinely scoring ~50 on ~45% FG and 25% 3p. i mean it still takes skill but isn't really as impressive as his surface numbers make it seem.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say most of Jordan & Lebron's 50 point games were done on 50% or better shooting.

Take away the 22 free throws and he scored 39 points. And how many of those free throws were on ticky-tacky fouls?

Boring , not fun to watch. It's exploiting a technicality. While legal, it is not the highest form of the game.
If you, at your best, is not the game at it's best....you are not the best at that game. Lebron, Magic, Curry, MJ all elevated the game.
Harden's volume stepback 3 game is a bit better but it's a travel....and not the in the flow of the game momentum travels that happen on drive to the hoop.....this is bltantly sliding pivot feet 3 feet from an almost standstill.
It's a bit like of a baseball player learned how to get beaned every pitch and scored 300 runs in a season.....not the greatest for the sport.

By way of contrast, 2 nights ago Klay Thompson scored 44 points on 17/20 FG, 10/11 from 3, 0/0 free throws. Kerr benched him with about 4-5 minutes left in the 3rd. Klay played 27 minutes to 40 for Harden. Which performance do you think was more impressive - Harden's or Klay's?
Harden probably dribbled more in one possession than Klay did in the entire game.

I understand what you're saying but Klay isn't double teamed; everyone knows Harden will shoot but his defenders still can't stop him. Klay has help and isn't the first or second option, Harden is the option- stop him or slow him down and your team will win. Yet he is still winning games for his team.
They're both impressive but Klay's game and the Warrior style is the one that should be emulated.

He doesn't shoot 25% from the 3-pt. line, he shoots 38%. Quit just making up numbers.

I meant he was having multiple 50 pt games in which he shot 25% from 3p in those games . (on high volume)
