Saw this kid on TFRRS today. True freshman at a community college that's currently leading the all-college lists with a 20.60 and a 45.93. Who is this kid and how is he not running D1?

Grades? Maybe he didn't run track in high school?
No, he is not running track for the firts time. Multiple-time high school state champion in Wisconsin. I am not sure why he didn't go D1.
This kid was totally built from 7th grade onward. May not have been the de facto national leader in high school but anyone with a clue will see this kid as Olympic stuff. Rice Lake high school is almost in the middle nowhere in northern Wisconsin and definitely the least interesting part of that region. Rice Lake is not at all known for producing athletes. Compared to the outliers that have come from Rice Lake, Kenny is in a league of his own with several leagues between he and the next closest.

Kenny was held back in early elementary school. He was 19-20 when the other seniors he was running against were 17-18. His ACT was mid teens. I saw him compete in HS a handful of times, the most memorable being his 46.07 at sectionals in Medford. He made up the stagger on a sub 50 guy within 5 strides. Absolute talent. He will transfer somewhere after this year. Hopefully he can continue to progress.
He was possibly the top sprinter in the nation last year running 10.4 and 20.4. You guys need to pay more attention to sprinters. He is one hour away from Iowa.
Tbf to me, it's not my fault that Milesplit would rather talk about Tyrese Cooper and Sam Affolder 24/7 than mention athletes like this.
He was number 1 HS kid in the 200 while Cooper was only 4th.
Obviously not meant for college so I predict that he will go pro after this year. He is tracking for low 20 and high 44 by end of outdoor.
The NCAA WT record holder is from Rice Lake, WI.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
