why do you need group running logs
I would use Running2Win. As a log, Strava's interface isn't really that good in my opinion; it's much harder to view history and Running2Win's allows for better data organization. Strava's segments might also cause unneeded competition when you don't necessarily want it.
I have also been wondering which apps were best for team use. We are a high school team that logs mileage the old school way (paper) and I've considered transitioning to something better. I would also appreciate hearing what people have to say about the different options. Mostly curious as to how effective high school kids are keeping them up to date. We have a strong running culture and I think they'll be fine and do a good job but I'm still a little apprehensive but I probably need to just get over it and take the plunge.
Thanks for any input and advice!

They are great training tools. Using them to reference old workouts, track mileage, etc, can be very helpful for kids. An online log, specifically, creates a community/team feel that motivates kids. On top of that, most high school kids don't know how or why to use a training log, and setting it up as a group gives them examples to follow and reasons to track their training.
Is there a downside?
I would love to hear from any high school or collegiate coaches that use Strava for their teams. I know there's a way to make a "club"; is it easy to track mileage? We, like many other programs, utilize mileage clubs as a point of pride for the kids and the work they put in in the summer. They seem to just be "over" running2win, and some of them use Strava already anyway. Anybody with any successful experience using Strava?
My team has always used running2win and it is, for me, by far better as a team tool compared to strava. Only issue is a lot of kids don’t like using it since it’s not in some sleek app. I tend to log on a computer because the phone app doesnt work and it doesnt work well in browsers on the phone either. However, there are tons of tools to look at the logs from different perspectives. For example, I discovered the graph feature recently. Compared my own best season to a previous runner’s vest season. Saw that the only difference between us was I kept my mileage up for longer. I did better in post season races. He did better during the season.
I use Strava for my team, for nothing else than the app interface is more student-athlete friendly. I could barely get them to log into Running2Win to put their runs in, but with the Strava app they do it almost immediately. I haven't had the issues with competition that was mentioned earlier, but that can be a problem for some. I'd rather use Running2Win as a coach (or FinalSurge if I didn't have to pay for it) because they are definitely more coach-friendly. But if my choice is between 90% uploading their runs but it's harder for me to go though, vs. 20% logging runs, I'll take the former...
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
