Just wondering what schools may be interested? Would like to compete at D1 level.

The ones that can afford you.
Siena. UMBC, maybe LaSalle.
Community College only if not try to redshirt the rest of your high school year.
1400 SAT is poor bro. If you can't get at least a 750 in math then you are an academic delinquent. And if you did get at least that score, then you got under 650 in the reading which is pretty bad and means you didn't pay enough attention in english class. sure your times are good and you could get into any D1 school whose primary demographic is alcoholics, but no shot at an ivy league unless you get those scores up
0/10 Troll
I was 1:57/4:32/9:36 1170 SAT and got several scholarship offers.
Being a D1 guy does not carry the clout it used to on these boards. All the bitter hobbyjoggers who couldn't hack it ruined it for us real runners. Let's face it, letsrun is just another marathon with finishers medals, where mediocre participation is rewarded and achievement, past or present, is derided. Especially regarding D1 running.
If you want respect here nowadays, ask about how your Daniels 2Q pace feels to fast at 9:30/mile or something like that. Then complain about those losers who ran a fast time at CIM.
All big Ten schools would be interested. Michigan will be a stretch with the SAT though.
you are dumb as f*** wrote:

Theres a new scale for the SAT, its out of 1600 now, not 2400
Their Average SAT is 1450. The other B10 schools would take you.
This guy is in at Michigan with those kind of scores and his track times. His ability to compete academically will be dependent on effort and skillfully guiding a course of study. He is very capable of doing well there. Division 1 running can be a distraction from a professional career is that is what one wants, so you really have to measure the commitment to athletics before diving in. A 4:09 high school miler could manage a Division III athletic career very well, and likely, because of talent level, win quite a few races.
My daughter was a Shipman Scholar at Michigan, which typically does take a perfect or near perfect SAT score and a whole lot more (likely only 10-15 Shipmans a year). She finished at the very top of her class, but she was joined by others with scores in the 1400 ranges. It is all about effort and fit.
What is the threshold that separates a "hobbyjogger" from a "sub-elite" runner?
