Depends, a typical football player probably has decent endurance. A bodybuilder or powerlifter may or may not do cardio. I would guess 8 minutes is about average.
Rob Reiner? I doubt if he could run 50 meters.
He looks low on BF, there’s no way he *just* lifts. Probably does sprints. I would class “without training” as doing zero cardio at all in which case most average lifting guys 5’11 190lbs benching 250 probably around 17-18% bodyfat would probably run about an 8 minute mile. 7 if they’re lucky.
5:32 mile untrained, imagine if he put in the mileage. Sub 4 minute mile no problem.
And we know that he actually ran a mile, how?
I bet the average gym going in their 20's can run low 8's. A true meat head doesn't do cardio/barely any and will like 9 min+ depending on how heavy they are.
I see it all the time in da gym bro. wrote:

No way. Add 1 min to each of those - 9 min, 8 if lucky.

No way, 9+ min is morbid obese range for a young male. Any guy under 40/200lbs can run an 8:xx minute mile IF THEY TRIED. 8:34 is the definite average according to a study posted on Livestrong (google the article).
And do not get me wrong, I know how bad people suck at running in general but 8 minutes? Come on mate
Morbid obese can't run a mile at any speed. Well, maybe slow walking.
I used to think that but I saw a 300lb guy run a 9 minute mile once and ever since that day my expectations of people’s running ability went way up.
Heck it wouldnt even surprise me if this guy I am talking about was closer to 350lbs tbh

Lance Livestrong is a proven habitual liar. Likes to say false things.
how tf do you explain this video
What’s a meathead?
How much could the average competitive runner bench with no training? 135?
Anyway, depends on the individual. I’m 5’6” 180lbs and can go 5:00ish. I lift 3-4 days a week and run 3-4 days a week maybe 3-4mi at a time mostly uptempo or hills or intervals on top of lifting heavy (1-5 rep range for main lifts) for an hour.

Based on his voice /size he looks like a little guy to say the least. I wanna see Ronny Coleman run it. Now lets see his 6 hour marathon time

Michael Stivic is the character Archie called "Meathead." Back then, mid-70s....probably 9:30

Ronnie can't really do anything any more with his broken back.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
