Originally read this as jilling ... the words are too close.
If you’d asked me ten years ago, I never would have guessed that kids in 2018 would be unaware that smoking is bad for you.
Last year when I was a senior, a kid on my team went into the outdoor season with an open 800 PR of 1:59 and ended with a 1:55 (hit 1:54 low in a 4x8). He was basically addicted to juuling. I'm sure long term juuling destroys your body, but it probably won't affect their seasons noticeably, maybe if they're racing 5ks or 3200s. In any case, they probably don't care too much about their performance if they think it's okay to smoke during the season.
The weight loss from having your dick and balls shrivel up and fall off must be worth something
It actually makes them faster. Too bad you don't want a scholarship badly enough
I think it depends on the runner. some kids will have enough talent to get away with it, but I have had several very high-caliber teammates who have had rather disappointing seasons I think because of their juuling during the season. All in all, not worth it for some short nic buzz that will only cost you money and get you increasingly addicted to it.
I mostly quit smoking a few years ago, when I started running in my early 30s, after many years of about 1/4 to 1/2 pack a day. Would occasionally have a cigarette with drinks or something like that and it didn't affect my running.
Then I was introduced to vaping and got a juul. I started smoking every night. I woke up with a smokers cough every morning, sometimes coughing up green mucus. I felt wheezy most of the time. I hadn't raced in a while because of taking some time off of running but when I started to get back into racing I would have asthma attacks and cough throughout my race. I finally threw the damn thing away and can breathe again.
I know there's no hard evidence but based on my personal experience they aint good for your lungs or breathing.
It's not smoking, moron.

It's essentially the same thing though, moron. Anyone who denies that vaping/juuling is bad for you is an idiot.
The kids here had brief school suspensions when caught doing this (public school). Some kids were pulled off the track team etc. This is addicting behavior that is unhealthy. It violates many school code of conducts as well.
Nicotine stimulates brain and releases energy reserves, but generally injures lungs and health in in the worst way. I feel and breathe much better since I totally refused from nicotine (switched to a wax pen from here https://gypsyvapes.com/best-vape-pen-for-wax ).
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
