My goal for this upcoming track season is to get close to my season peak at my district meet, which is in May, and run somewhere around 9:30 or under. Last Track season, I just ran alot without watching my miles per week, and I almost got injured during winter training, but i stayed healthy and was able to run 9:50 with my best 1600 being 4:42. Just some info about me, This past xc season (i'm a senior) I dealt with injuries and lymes disease, which ruined my summer training. I ran 16:11 for 5k, but I was goaling for a sub 16, and I ended up peaking midway through the season, and the second half of my season was just a fight to stay towards the top with dead legs. I dropped like a fly during my state xc meet and finished 40th. My goal is to just slowly bring up my miles to where I come into track around 60 mpw. I know this is a lot of info, but my question is, if I can stay injury free during my training, can it be possible?
