I went on a Pheasant hunting trip over last winter break in Kansas. Every day on that trip I would talk through fields of tall grass at a decent pace for about 6-8 hours a day for a week straight. Do you think that this contributed to my success in running for my colleges running club? What muscles would walking like that affect? Does walking for long durations benefit distance runners substantially?
