This all depends on your ability on running hills and down hills.
If you're not very strong on hills then don't push it and keep your form, high cadence and effort lower than your pace on the flats. Don't go by pace on the hills or down hills but by effort.
On the down hills once again don't over stride and maintain your form. Your effort should be the same as going on the flats so obviously your pace would be faster. Dont over do it on the hills n down hills will cost you more over time. Be consistent.
If you're strong on hills/ downhills then this changes.
