Rob Conner proves again he may be the wilest XC coach in the NCAA by intentionally running a “B” team at Pre-Nats today and forgoing a showdown with BYU until the big show in November.
Bravo.
November 17th will be interesting....

UP is pretty smart. They run Wisco hard to get a feel for the course with all the top teams in the same race (besides BYU and a couple others obviously), but they get a lot of really long and well-placed training blocks. My money is on UP over BYU at nationals. Also, BYU just chokes every year and its hilarious to watch
+1
BYU should face UP in the WCC meet as well, but last year UP treated that as a "bye".
Back to the top, taking scalps and showing up when it counts.
LEST LETSRUN FORGET WHO FINISHED 2nd LAST YEAR!
Kinsella's spirit remains, money never sleeps. Big dogs gotta RUN!
The glory of mid-2000's UP lives on:
Does Portland have a chance to win the title? Can they perform better than BYU, NAU, Wisco, etc all in the same day?
Watching the annual mind games between Smith, Conner and Eyestone are high-level entertainment. Gonna be a real epic in Wisco this year.
Why would Portland, or any top team from Nuttycomb for the matter, race Prenats? They got a ton of at large points from that meet, so Prenats wouldn't really do much for them concerning getting to Nationals. Running their B team was smart as now a lot of their 2nd tier guys have some more experience running in deep big meets.
Love the alliteration.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
