I've worn Asics Kayanos since day 1, but my latest pair of Kayano-24s feel like they have a lot less cushion than prior models. Has anyone else noted this? I like the fit, but wish they were a bit more bulked up in the cushion department.

Bump.
Does no one on LetsRun wear Kayanos? haha
I've never worn this shoe. FWIW, I skimmed the Solereview review and they seemed to think the midsole on the Kayano 24 is identical to the previous year's model and the ride quality pretty similar.
Switch to Hoka and get all of the cushion you ever need.
Despite what the review says, I've worn many iterations of the Kayano, and this version definitely feels like there's less cushion.
Flytefoam as such is a firm compound, and this particular trait will be noticed by runners who are transitioning directly from the Kayano 22 or earlier.
Per the review, may be the flytefoam.
