40-50 mpw runner/ college commuter
I tend to get up about 1.5 hours before I actually run. This allows me to drink some water/ a cup of coffee, wake myself up, do some college work, and then run (9-10 AM). However, I do not like to run with food in my stomach, and right after I finish running, I usually have to go straight to school. So in terms of nutrition, what would be better:
Eat my largest meal 30 mins-1 hr before bed in order for that to serve as fuel for the morning run, then grab something small for after run, eat bigger meal 2-3 hours later, when I get back home from school (which I do currently, usually do not have time to eat any earlier before that)
Not eat as much before bed and eat breakfast before run, then follow the same post-run nutrition plan as in option 1
