Hey I'm a soph in high school, and I have tendonitis in my left ankle. I strained my calf earlier in the first race of the xc season and developed tendonitis later in the season. We're about two weeks out from states and it still hurts to run. My ankle swells and has a lot of pain, especially after I run. Track is my main sport, so I'm trying to decide whether I should just not run, or try to compete. I improved a lot over the summer by putting a lot of mileage in, and I'm worried I'll lose all that fitness. Should I run or not, and how do I regain the fitness I made over the summer in time for track?
