Title basically. What would be the effects of running 10-12 miles per day in triples? Compared to one 10-12 mile run per day?

Or two 5-6 mile runs
Search.
I did
At the volume of 70-80 could there be value in tripling every day is what I'm wondering. Or are 3-4 mile runs simply too short.
Why not cross train once a day and run twice a day? Add some cycling and lifting sessions which will pay off huge dividends later on.

The benefit of doubling is to allow for more recovery between runs. Singles give more benefit for a given total mileage and pace. So it becomes a matter of finding the right compromise. I think tripling only makes sense if you're doing even more mileage. It becomes hard to really spread out the work load evenly, though.
Best training method ever
13:49-5000 m
29:15-10000 m
1:04:xx- Half marathon
2:23:xx-3 place in Mastergroup, New York marathon
Do it :-)

I know a couple of guys who who did that but with 4-5 runs per day. Both of them got their best miles, both around 4:20, off of that. One of them never raced beyond a mile. The other got under 2:30 for the marathon but I don't know if he was training that way or not.
To be clear, I don't know if the guy with the sub 2:30 marathon was training on 4-5 20 minute runs a day at the time of that marathon.
Singles, doubles, triples. It's all good.
Genuine question, how does cycling benefit your running?

It can in several different ways:
1. More cardio exercise with less stress.
2. Strengths the quads.
3. Can improve your cadence.
4. Jack Foster

It seems Letsrunners are always looking for a magical training method. Your idea will not make you run any faster, but if you work or go to school, it will mess up your daily schedule.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
