Someone mentioned Boards of Canada in an earlier thread about music. They’ve always been one of my favorite artists, and it’s really hard to describe why I like them so much. They’re sound is immediately recognizable to me; I just heard a 2-second clip in between segments on NPR and I knew it was them but couldn’t tell you which song.
I’d describe their sound as temporal to me. It’s like an odd deep feeling as opposed to a sound.
Can anyone explain why? Does anyone have a similar experience with another band? It’s very neurological and almost scary.
