LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO.......you do realize that the temp. models are fixed numbers cooked up for political reasons.
No, I have no reason to think that's true. And, considering the real-world effects that we've seen over the last few years--y'know, people dying and whatnot--I have reason to think it's false.
Most of the scientists that are setting temp guages are putting them in abnormally hot areas. You can find them in urban areas, edges of airport runways etc.......
Also technology and what we use to measure this is different then 100 years ago......you gonna rely on what technology we used back in 1880 on this?
Within the limits of scientific measurement, yeah--that's why we generally don't go back *farther* than 1880.
And for the second point I've quoted, let's look at the summary by "Fat Hurts":
The scientific community overwhelmingly accepts anthropogenic global warming.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S...ate_changeGiven that fact, there are three possibilities:
1) The scientific community is made up of stupid people.
2) The scientific community is engaged in a global conspiracy.
3) The scientific community is made up of smart people who know how to do their jobs and are therefore very likely to be correct.
The suggestion that climate scientists just aren't smart enough to account for where they place temperature "gauges" would come under FH's point #1, I guess. Well played!
