Not workouts but moderate/easy runs. If you stop for 5 minutes twice during a 60 minute run (at 20 in and 40 in of running time) and your heart rate remains elevated during these 5 minute periods, aren't you getting more benefit than a 60 minute run with no stopping because your heart rate is elevated for 70 minutes rather than 60 minutes. An incredible 17% increase in aerobic conditioning PER RUN.
