So I'm an incoming freshman and this will be the first year I have to take a real PE class. Obviously I'm not in bad shape (17:18 5k), but from what I've heard this PE coach is pretty hardcore and I'm afraid all of the sprints, lifting, ect. present an unnecessary injury risk. I run 50 miles per week so it is not like I am not getting enough exercise. The bigger problem is that the entire PE class is based around the football team and their schedule so the coach doesn't care if I have a race or hard workout that day I still have to do it. However, if the football team has a game or hard practice that day of course they get to do their homework during PE Class. How did you guys deal with this in HS? Would I be a wimp for trying to weasel my way out of it?
