I dated a girl from 1988-90. Around 16 months in, we got engaged. I knew right away it was a mistake. I spent the next 3 months figuring out a way to break it off, and hopefully get the ring back. Final results; for 4 attempts to break it off, she went on a rampage throwing and breaking things in my apartment. Once after a run, I was getting ready for a shower, and was barefoot in my apartment, she smashed framed pictures of us, making glass shatter and some cut me. That was it. I put my hands on her, (her elbow), and shoved her out of my apartment, where she stood on the other side of the door, in the hallway yelling insults to me, and then calling later asking if we "can talk and work this out". Fast forward months later after I finally was rid of her, I began to notice my car had small vandalism incidents. Typically on Saturday or Friday nights. I also noticed no other car on my street was damaged. Only mine. The final straw was when she refused to return a credit card I let her use a long time before, and it had over $440 on it from her after the break up date. I actually took it to small claims when she refused to pay, and I won! Now I see her family members occasionally, and they give me dirty looks when they see me , even to this day.
How about you?
