So I have an idea to get a faster pace but I don’t know if it will really work. Can anyone tell me if this makes any sense or if it a waste of my time. I want to be able to run my distance runs (8+ miles) about 7:30 pace. I currently run the at 8:45 pace.
What I was wondering was if I take a beginner running plan like Daniels Formula and starting at the basic walk run plan and using 7:30 pace as my run pace so that by the time you are running the 3, 4, 8 miles you end up running them at the 7:30 because of the slow build up.
I have been stuck with this pace for 2 years now and it isn’t changing. Tell me is this an idea that sounds and looks nice on paper and in reality it’s crap or does it sound worth trying
