Right on - you made very good points - I never had a desire to drink alcohol and all I can do is thank the man upstairs - I hate being around drunk people - it's not fun for me whatsoever - drunk people have ruined many baseball games, supercross events, and concerts that I have attended. I don't go to pro games anymore because of the stupid drunks. At running events I for the life of me can't understand why beer drinking is fashionable after the race. If I was a race director, there's no way I'd have alcohol, not to be preachy, but just could not live with myself if a runner who was drinking at my race killed himself or someone else due to alcohol driving home - already know the comments coming - "that's what designated drivers are for" Newsflash - yea they should have a designated driver, but history proves most don't get one. So from a liability perspective alone don't favor alcohol at races - but that's me, for those of you race directors who don't think it's a problem, hey it's on you if tragedy strikes. My hands will be clean. Yea Sage drinking beer doesn't make much sense since he talks about his vegan life. Why not pop a Marlboro in your mouth after the race to go with the beer? But whatever, people can drink if they want, but if they get caught driving being over the limit, you get what you deserve - it won't be fun times.
