One of my running goals is to run 200 miles in a week. The most I've ever ran in a week is 110 miles during last winter base. I usually do 80 miles a week as my average. Ever now and than I do 100 miles. Now what is the best way to reach this goal? My thoughts:
Bump up my mileage to 100 miles a week, and do 100 miles per week for a whole year.
Second phase, bump up my mileage to 120-140 miles per week, with a average of 130 miles per week for six months.
Third phase; for one week I'll do this:
Monday- Saturday am 25k pm 25 k or just one long run of 40-60 kilometres or would it be better to do triples i.e. am: 16-20 k noon: 16-20k pm: 16-20k
Sunday: I'll find a ultra marathon to do 50k or more.
Thoughts?
