I graduated HS in late May and decided to run at a D3 college for track and hope to walk on. I took about a 3 week break off when school ended from anything running/lifting related because I had knee issues and had Physical Therapy.
For the last couple of weeks I’ve been running easy mileage and lifting 3x a week. (~ 20-25 mpw). The school starts training right away in the fall and I want to make sure I’m in shape and ready to go.
Here’s a bit about me:
In HS, I trained mainly as a sprinter and once a week would do workouts with the distance team to improve my strength.
I’m a pretty lean built, 5’10”, 145 lbs
200m: 23.6
400m: 51.7
Basically I’m just asking for some advice on how to improve because I usually didn’t do much during the summer in HS.
