They both had such a legendary season that it forced me to take interest in sprinting for the first time in ages. Looking forward to more record-breaking performances from these two in 2019!
Neither want to get toasted by Lyles again
The way I read Benjamin's tweet, all he said is he's not going to wear the USC uniform anymore. Could be that a shoe deal is all but signed. Ato always knows everything, and maybe he knows the his season has ended, it's not apparent to me from the tweet alone.

Those dudes have been racing since the beginning of the year, and Michael Norman ran 19.88 in that race, and had Lyles for the first 100m. Didn't have anything in the tank for the last 100m.
If that same race took place about 2 months ago, possibly ,Norman beats Lyles.

Disagree. We'll see next season.
Norman ran a great race. A perfect 200m race even. Great start, great bend and transition. He didn't tie up at all.
Lyles is simply too good and despite his poor start and weak bend he is just much faster (9.88) and pulled away in the straight when he got into his running. He was accelerating when Norman was holding.

He technically just decelerated less than Norman did. No one holds their speed at the end of a 200, they just slow down less quickly than other people. Really makes me wonder what Noah could do in the outdoor 300/400 because Norman can run 43.61. I'd give Noah 44.x in the 400 without training for it.
Why disagree, and then mention next season? Why not just say let's wait till next season. As if Norman isn't capable (43.61 400m mind you).
Good for them. They had a long season and are headed into professional careers. Stopping now increases they chances of making next year's World Championships team.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
