How many colleges have you coached at?
Call them what you want but successful college coaches for XC/track are very bright.

I’ve had several opportunities to coach at well known programs which I turned down for various reasons.
However these themes listed above keep being repeated in the recent coaching threads.

All completely valid points minus the last one- most coaches I know are very cerebral, sometimes too much for their own good.
It’s not for everyone. If the above mentioned items aren’t your bag, you’d probably want to find something else.
You forgot a couple-
Long hours
Lots of travel
Time away from family
Thankless job
High stress and pressure to please all

Sound like you’re bitter you’re not getting hired for any jobs or getting any interviews. Relax young buck it takes time or just give up like you’re doing
