I ran 20x100 today in hopes of training for a faster 400m time. I am a 42 year old woman so obviously I'm not as fast as a lot of people here. My best is 74 seconds. I'm trying to get down to about 65.
I did
14.5 then 100 walk recovery
14.8 then 100 walk recovery
And then I did 16x100 with 45 second jog recoveries to turn it into a bit of a Fartlek workout. The jogs in between sprints were done at 5mph.
My 100s looked like this

Then after I did the workout I walked 100m then did two more full out sprints and got 15.0 and 14.7 with 100m of walking in between.
Is this a good workout to help me get faster? I'm thinking of doing this a couple of times a week.
What other workouts should I be doing to help improve speed endurance?
