not surprising. Hes no longer the coach at IMG and wasnt he fired at LSU back in the day for sleeping with an athlete?
Suspended from what? Does he even have a coaching job? This might mean nothing more than USATF won’t give him a free coach credential at the USATF meet.
Yes, he was canned by a university for inappropriate relationship with female athlete . . . that must have been 25 years ago.
The crap dated from 1988 and wasn’t really over until 2005.

Not sexual misconduct, just misconduct. “Sexual Misconduct” is a separate category.
The way the restrictions read a suspended coach may not be able to even coach any athlete participating in a USATF event. Anyone know the extent of such suspensions?

The Center keeps changing their wording and making things more vague, and these are all suspensions issued by the Center. These are all sexual misconduct cases. The Center only takes sexual misconduct cases at this time, allegations of other forms of abuse are being sent back to the NGBs for adjudication.
You can google any of the names in the email, there are articles out there.
A suspended individual could go to a sanctioned event as a spectator, but they cannot compete or operate in an official capacity (like as a coach or official) at a sanctioned event.
A USATF club cannot have a suspended coach operating in their club. But there is nothing to stop a suspended coach from coaching privately on their own (assuming they are not like on parole with restrictions or something).
A suspended coach could coach privately, and those athletes would be in good standing to compete at sanctioned events.
He has/had a job as sort of an important consultant at the Brazilian Olympic Committee, where he had the main responsibility for the relatively succesful men's athletics team.
I should add he mostly was responsible for the sprinters, where especially the men are doing a lot better than in the last 10 years.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
