52, 28 won't work?
There will be a tipping point when I'm 66 or 67, right?

There's probably an age that women reach where you should never date them, due to baggage. Ie, never date a woman over 30? Or, never date a woman over 40? Not sure what that number should be.
Optimal ranges:
Male -> Female
28 -> 21
30 -> 22
32 -> 23
34 -> 24
36 -> 25
38 -> 26
It has been shown that the rule breaks down outside of this range but within this space, either side has a lot to offer the other and strong relationships can be developed over the long term.
Similar ages have too much in common and both sides bring the deficits of their age:
24 -> 24 , lack of experience, immaturity, desire to explore other opportunities
32 -> 32 , lack of excitement, been-there done that, desperation to move on (economically and marriage/family)
I don't agree with the "half-age plus 7" standard at all.
First banged my now-wife when she was 25 and I was 40. Married when she was 27 and I was 42. 18 yrs later, all good.

Not true... The age / 2 + 7 rule always works for all age ranges.

You’re having sex with a 45 year old? Gross!

What bullshit. Hardloper, come on. It always works for all age ranges. How about the "rule" is garbage to begin with? Idiots think there are rules to human interaction.

Menopause point varies from early onset at 40 thru to late onset at 55 and that puts the lowest age tipping point at 70 for males .
If you believe in 1/2+7 then hope your andropause comes after 70

Not true. Any younger and you dip under 21, which is too young and experiences too much volatility in the following 2 years. Any older, and the guy is in his 40s - again a point of volatility with numerous irrational unknowns and behaviours.
You cs guys too readily assume linearity, much of life is not. The rule has a lower bound at [28 -> 21] and after [38 -> 26] behaves more like f (F) = M / 1.8 + 10, research shows.
This leaves the female range 27-31, a traditionally unstable period, without a clear translation; they can thrash about between males aged 25-40, purely stochastic.
As a ten year old man that likes older women, I agree.
I'll say it again. I am 52. She is 28. I've found a calculator stating that this is okay in five years. Why not now?

Because when she’s around her peers, she calls you “the old man”. And sometimes grandpa.
I met this girl who was 24 and I was 46. Great girl, college educated, good job, very attractive, and very sensible. She did want to get married and have kids but I wasn't into the kid aspect as I already had two ages 20 & 18. I was widowed at the time for about two years.
Later met someone else and we got married when I was 49 and she was 35. Still married and we didn't have kids.
The first girl is still not married which really baffles me.

Hey, 25 worked when I was 50. But I was realistic and only expected it to work for the summer. :)
the older you get the more acceptable the age gap is.
if you're 40 and dating a 20 yr old then you're creepy.
if you're 55 and dating a 20 yr old then you're lucky.
Never date a woman under 30.

I dont know who I find more dirty. The old gramps in stories like these, or the women that go for guys like you. Women with daddy issues are just yucky, gross… sucking their thumb, wearing diapers and speaking in a high voice to granddaddy. Makes me vomit.
Age doesn't matter as much as the hotness/crazy scale.

None of the rules apply to men who are wealthy (and/or) celebrities.
