First of all, idk what the Northeast region is. I think you mean New England? Either way, you cant be serious. You're saying the ONLY reason why the Midwest gets more bids is to develop the Midwest into a competitive region? Let's look at how the Midwest stacks up against New England at nattys.
2017:
Midwest finished: 1st, 4th, 5th, 9th, and 10th.
New England finished: 7th, 8th, 12th, 16th, and 20th.
Midwest had better performance

Midwest finished: 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 6th.
New England finished: 7th, 8th, 12th, and 26th.

New England finished: 2nd, 10th, 17th, 19th, 24th.

With that being said, my point is don't disrespect the Midwest region like you have. Midwest is crazy strong and they deserve the recognition of their success. New England is a force to be reckoned with, but not quite like the MW.
