A big part is that they changed the course this year to run a little faster. The 'big hill' that was there before is no longer a part of the race.

Really curious what the pace was on the tempo.

It’s not a tempo it’s a kill each other session every week. They then are more controlled on the mile repeats.

The tempo was at race pace. This is cross country season, when else are you supposed to race?!?

this way they can tempo their races, like every other school does at every race

Negatory, captain. Nor is that my son, Jamie Norton, because that runner is in the middle of a 4:32 mile, and my son, who went to Tufts, ran the mile in 4:06.

Predictions for prenats? Apparently Wash U did not register in time and is currently entered in the Open Race only. Can any Wash U guys confirm?

I think wash u has a pretty good chance at winning the open race in that case!

It's flat (although not like, soccer fields that), but can get really soft overall if it rains a lot.

Word on the street is that it was quite muddy.

I thought Trump was supposed to be taking care of the shoddy infrastructure in this country........ I guess XC courses don't fall under the jurisdiction of the federal government?

Here in the northeast our cross country courses are always in great condition as most of our races are held in parks that receive state funding and environmental protection. Midwest and western courses are likely receiving large amounts of loose soil and runoff due to right-wing deforestation thanks to Trump's loosening of environmental sanctions on big businesses. Guess you crazy conservatives feel pretty stupid now!

New England looking pretty solid this year with some impressive times ran yesterday in a mudpit @ Conn, although not quite the mudpit that prenats was
