I can't seem to break 26 seconds for the 200 and I train almost everyday.

Get this dude's program.
Well to have a fast 200m you need a fast 100m. So I would incorporate flying 30s, or 5x60m with full recovery once a week. Lift legs twice a week too. (Back squat, Bulgarian split squat, hamstring curls, lunges)
Acceleration out of the blocks. This phase sets you up for the race. Drive and be explosive.
Having speed endurance. 120s, 150s are good once a week too.
Run fast, but controlled. In other words don’t tense up with your upper body, etc. Pump your arms the last 50m to not deaccelerate a lot. You could try going out 95% the first 100 and going all out the second 100. Usain bolt did this kind of to break the record. Save it for the stretch when people slow down.
Also, depending on your age you will get faster until your 20s. Sophomore year of track I was a mid distance runner and ran a 27 200.
Junior year I stuck with mid distance and went 25.
Now this year I decided to run with the sprinters and I have ran a 23 along with a 52 400. Keep up the training and you will improve
