I know that beaning 5 is somewhat of a small feat in this community but I have a race coming up this Wednesday and for the past week or two I've kept up with a peer whose PR is 5:01 I've run several workouts with him, we've done 2*800 at around 5 minute pace and 4*400 at just under 5 pace. Another day we did up and down a 150m hill at a 15-20 degree grade 6 times in about 8 minutes. This Friday we did 5*400 at or under 5 minute pace and 2*200 at faster than that. I ran 4 miles in 30 minutes yesterday and forgot my long run today. Tomorrow we have an up tempo 35 and 6*50 accelerations. Tuesday is pre race. I want to know what all of you think and if you guys think I can break 5 or not.
