any (sub) sub-elite stories?
I've got a friend who has been trying to break 3 for half a dozen 'thons now, missing it by a minute
of all the races, she is actually on pace today through the first hour at least
she pulls this off, gonna be epic, dang it looks so nasty out there
I wonder if you are running in the middle of a pack if the weather barely affects you, somehow still getting the cooling effect but protected from wind?
No one cares.

Go for a run, you won't miss much. Bekele isn't in this race. Tamarit Tola is the best runner here. He will pull away in the next 35 minutes.
What in the world just happened in the women's race? An early breakaway.... seems unusual for the conditions.

It's working without any problems
why is NO ONE talking about that mysterious japanese woman? can they not pronounce her name, or, like a ninja, do they not see her?
AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO SEES THAT JAPANESE WOMAN!?
how can Rupp run with that sh*& on his face
Linden and Kiplagat are leading the charge to bridge the gap to Daska up front. they said the lead has shrunk from 30 seconds to 18.
Desi most definitely dropped back on purpose to wait for Shalane a little bit. The NBCSN broadcast showed Shalane talking to Desi before bolting for the porta potty. Then she's only in there 15 seconds and Desi immediately drops back a little and catches pack with Shalane. She did it on purpose and now is leading chase pack.
Honestly! What in the world is this weather?
Last time I checked, Desi was not black...guy can't even notice that the front two ladies are not Des!
Bumbalough through half + 1:30 from leaders. Not bad. Didn't drop out.
Shadrack Biwott still in lead pack. Abdi + 14 secs at half. So dropping from lead pack I assume.

what japanese women? are you seeing ghosts?
did I see that correctly that there's a 3 women chase pack incl Linden?
I remember those Japanese zombie arms from an earlier race, what is up with that
So I noticed Kirui doesn't have the same shoes as Rupp. Please tell me that Kirui has access to the 4% shoes if he wants them.

Rawson normally "converts" everything to make it "understandable" to the average American (" a 29 foot long jump would be like jumping from the foul line to the half-court line on your high school basketball court...") So, why the hell is he constantly giving the temperature in celsius and the windspeed in km/hour?
Because the commercial free feed on NBC gold is the international feed.
Are any Europeans on here. Is olympichannel.com working?
Working brilliantly.

New England's finest.
Why would Shalane ask Desi to wait for her? I don't get it...
