just ran 4:33 in the heat and to a very slow start. I race the 3k next week. Ive never been in a good 3k or 3200 race before. I wanna run like a 9:00 3k. There wont be much competition there so I wanna get out hard. Is 4:40-45 too hard you think?

Negative split. It'd be better if you run 4:50 for the first mile and close hard if you have good closing speed. 4:50 than a 4:45 or faster could possibly get you under 9 minutes.
