So I ran 2:01.0 about 3-4 weeks ago and I’ve been focusing more on speed and the 800 since then (before I was focusing on the mile).
I ran 2x600m at 1:28.3 and then 1:26.6 with 20min rest in between.
This exceeded my expectations. My goal was to run 1:28.5 and I crushed that. I did this with some teammates but they were all behind me by at least 1.5 seconds and I wasn’t focusing on beating them I felt like I was running alone pretty much. Is it u reasonable to try to run 1:57.0, like go out in 56.x?
