I know there are threads already on here, bit with the vast amount of contradictory and confusing advice, I am looking forward to the input of the LRC community.
Was getting into decent indoor shape while building base for outdoors, 50mpw, two speed sessions in a week, aiming for 3:50 1500 in summer.
Pain on the inside of the right ankle at the top side of the arch. No pain walking, mostly no pain while spinning/biking but hurts once I start running. Have been resting for nearly three weeks now and only doing some spinning for thirty minutes or so three times a week. No lifts, no running except to test the pain once in a while for 50m or so.
Have started using green superfeet and ordered a pair of stability shoes for when I start running again. Doctor also prescribed me a pair of custom orthotics, which should arrive his week. Have done calf raises, squats to no avail, iced, creamed, etc.
Any suggestions besides rest? I'm looking for this magic trick that makes this stupid injury go away. Considering seeing another doc, while I still have insurance - which may change soon due to unrelated reasons. Very often if I raise my heel there will be a loud creaking sound in my foot around the area where the tendon connects to the foot.
