I strained my quad from doing 400s. How long does it take for a quad strain to heal, and why should I do to speed up the process? Can I run through it? The pain is very mild when I jog but get a bit worse when I sprint but still nothing intolerable.

there's this thing called euthanasia that you might consider
The answer to your question depends on where the strain occurred. Was it intramuscular (a muscle strain at or around the midpoint of your anterior thigh) or was it tendinous insertional (at the lower point of the quadriceps insertion to the tibia)? An instramuscular strain may take 1-2 weeks to heal, whereas a tendinous strain is more variable and potentially a longer injury.
Definitely be cautious. I had a quad strain a few months ago that I ran through because I was still competing in XC, and I ended up having to take over 6 weeks completely off of running. I don't anticipate that your strain will get that bad but definitely be more conservative with your treatment. You should probably take at least a couple of days off, ice the strain, take ibuprofen, and maybe cross train for another couple of days when you get back before getting back into real training.
