Clean my apartment
Go for a 1.5-hr run
Do some work on my laptop
No dates, parties, etc.
Hopefully there are some coffee shops still open this evening

I hope work on your laptop means spanking it while looking at porn on your laptop. At least get something productive done today.

What are your New Year's Resolutions, jamin?
Gonna give up 800m training yet?
Maybe try to foster and maintain (unselfish/non-physical) human relationships?
Do tell. The LRC is edgin' to see how you put 2017 to rest.
This will be the first New Year's Day that I wake up without a hangover in like 9 years. Got a real good concert to go to tomorrow night with a crew.
I think NYE is overrated. Usually the bars are overpriced and crowded with retards.

Yep. Find a smaller gathering of people and party at home. Play some games, have a movie on for the kids, BBQ some good times-tip (hey, it's so-cal, 70 degrees today?), etc. just don't hit on your buddy's wife!
Supposed to read "BBQ some good tri-tip"
On of my cats just spent 24 hours in emergency treatment for what appears to be a bad case of cystitis; he was peeing blood (it looked like tomato soup - not cool). So I am not doing anything other than sitting here watching movies and taking care of him. He's pretty weak. The meds are making him sleepy, which is probably a good thing. I think he will make it.
Any movie recommendations would be awesome. I like weird movies, particularly that deal with some sort of time-shifting stuff (Donnie Darko, Jacob's Ladder, that sort of thing). I just saw Coherence and posted about it. I though it was pretty decent.

Not giving up on 800m training. My PRs have gone down a little each year: 2:00 in 2014, 1:58 in 2015, 1:57 in 2016, 1:56 in 2017. Hoping for 1:54-1:55 this year.
I would love to find a gf, but it's highly unlikely to happen. More likely that I have an 800m breakthrough, which is to stay very unlikely.

Standing rib roast, red wine, roasted veggies for me and the lady. We day drank, went to movies and then cooked. In bed at 11:45 for real fireworks, courtesy of my cookin skills

I did end up going to an empty college bar and drinking flat beer. Yuk.

My wish is everyone had as great a night as we did, with whatever they did.

New Year's Eve I did my daily devotion to Lydiard. Then went on a run and ate oatmeal for my three square meals.
