oh gosh. i really get nervous thinking about it, even though the vote is today.
we really can't afford to pay for the bundles that they are offering, so id probably have to sacrifice this site and all other social media. but if we could afford it...
at max 6 dollars, along with the other media sites in the bundle.
I'm not willing to pay for LetsRun at all. No offense to the brojos, but there isn't enough worthwhile content to spend money on.
I don't think the net neutrality repeal means we have to pay individually for every website we go to, right? Otherwise they may as well just tell Al Gore to turn the internet off altogether.
This is really stupid...
Nothing under the regulations or in the days way back before net neutrality (pre-2015) prevented the Johnson's from making this a premium site that you needed to pay to access.
Exactly. We'll be paying the same amount we did in 2015.
But, but, but, but everyone on Facebook is telling me it's the end of the internet!!!!

That's not the issue. I have two choices for ISPs in my area. They might decide to make me pay extra to visit LRC, while instead favoring their own shitty running website. They might slow the bandwidth of the traffic down to LRC if they want to squeeze further.
It's all about a fair playing field.

It is perfectly fair for your ISP to do whatever it wants. If you don't like the service, you're free to go with another.

Like I said - there's 2 of them in my area (b/c our govt has effectively killed effective competition in telecoms by allowing so many M&As)

Is it still an ISP if it doesn't give me unfettered access to the Internet?

If you live in such a podunk town that you only have two ISPs to choose from, your're free to move if you don't like it.

Yes, moron.
I live in the most populated city in the lower-48, and I have two ISPs to choose from. But I can expect a wave of new ISPs now, right?
I'm pretty sure LRC access is a Giffen good.

Yes, right after Comcast charges you $4.99 extra to view LetsRun World Famous Message Boards so they can push their LRC competitor.

Why did you reply with that? That doesn't affect anything he said. Silicon Valley is podunk and you are free to move. I live in Silicon Valley and I have more thsn 2 ISPs available. Maybe you don't know how to shop?

I'm going to LMAO if that happens and LRC goes out of business. Hoisted on their own petard! Remember, the killer whales snack on the great white sharks, and so on down the food chain. There is no honor among thieves.

Seriously? Name them. I'd love to not have Comcast or ATT
