I’m currently having the worst season so far in my entire high school track experience. I’m currently behind all of teammates and it very hard to catch because I did not start full training until last month. When I came back for pre season training,fresh off holidays, I was very overweight(187lb). Due to weigh I develop a knee problem ,according to the physiotherapist, anyway I was only able to do gym and long runs at easy pace.. sometimes I had to stop in them because the pain in my knee was unbearable.
Today I’m currently 162 and trying to find form before season begins fully. Yesterday was my first meet and I wasn’t comfortable running 800 and 1500 because of my fitness level. I ran 2:08 and 4:35( the worst times ever for since me since I’m a 2:01 and 4:15 guy)
December is here and I’ve been putting in extra work but honestly I’m not sure if I’ll be back to normal by January if I continue.. I really need some tips
