500 a day is way too low. Even people with diagnosed Eating Disorders eat more than that a day (and can still lose weight).
For perspective, eating 1000 calories a day with ZERO exercise is still considered starvation for a huge majority of people.
Think of it like this, there is a certain amount of calories you need to take in daily to maintain your weight. If you want to lose weight, you create a deficit by having a net calorie total less than that.
You said your BMR is 3100, which is very high.
500 calories a day with 15 miles a day gives you a calorie net of about -1000, which is around 4100 calories less than your BMR, you'll lose too much weight too fast and be at risk of severe complications and even death by doing that on a regular basis. No wonder you feel like garbage, it will only get worse.
If you are running 15 miles a day bump your intake to something more safe like 3000 calories. That way your net would be around 1500 calories (which is half your BMR at the moment) and you'll still lose weight, just at a more healthy pace.
