I'm wondering if I am still getting a training effect training on dead legs?
I'm on my 3rd 80 mile week and my pace is creeping up (as in, getting slower) and my top end speed workouts are not at a pace which is my top speed anymore.
I'm still pushing myself as hard as I can but at the same perceived effort as before, my paces are about 30-40 sec/mile slower.
Am I still getting a training effect? I understand that my cardiovascular system is still getting developed by what about top end speed work?
If I did a 6x100m full recovery workout averaging about 15 seconds per 100m and it slowed down to 18-19 sec (even though I get gassed at the end), am I still benefiting?
