To be a national championship program, EVERYONE must be on board and working at a high level. Long hours, tireless recruiting, servicing the student-athletes......AND POINT PRODUCTION FROM ALL AREAS. If you can't get that done, don't expect to be retained.
Track and field coaches that roll in and out of the office as they please, then can't attract a top 3 student-athlete, shouldn't expect to be retained.
Division 1 college athletics is an ALL IN proposition. If you're not working, someone else is. It is a results driven profession, and track and field is easily measurable. Either you're getting it done, or you're not. Caryl is clearly getting it done.
