Anyway, I believe the NJCAA has a different scholarship system than the equivalency used in DI/DII:
Track gets 20 counters
Cross Country gets 10 counters (these 10 must compete in cross but can compete in track without counting against track's 20)
A counter is any athlete on athletic aid of any amount.

Under this system it is highly incentivized to be well rounded if you have funding. I would bet they would hire a distance coach if they felt they got some decent applications.
